The main goal of Innovation Labs is the promotion of innovation through collaboration between research, companies, public bodies, and end-users. They have the objective to set up a continuous and structural way to foster experimentation, exchange ideas and experiences. Each Innovative Lab is devoted to one application domain which requires research in information technology to provide novel solutions to real problems.
We have two Innovation Labs that deeply involve research in Information Technology. They focus on two application domains of great importance for Trentino: e-Government and e-Health. Both Labs are used to establish partnerships and experiment with novel solutions. One of them is a physical Lab, the Laboratory of Interoperability and e-Government - LEGO); the other one is a virtual lab for applications in e-Health (SETLab):
