Focused Research: Research Units
Research in the three main areas of Information Technology (Engineering, Content, and Interaction) is organized in Research Units, i.e., research groups that are above critical mass but still manageable. Research Units include senior and young researchers, postdocs, PhD students, project managers, system architects and programmers. Research Units are strongly encouraged towards collaborations and projects that can exploit synergies among difference competences. The current units in Information Technologies are the following:
Research
- Data & Knowledge Management (DKM)
- Embedded Systems (ES)
- Human Language Technologies (HLT)
- Intelligent Interfaces & Interaction (i3)
- Predictive Models for Biomedicine & Environment (PMBE)
- Security & Trust (ST)
- Service Oriented Applications (SOA)
- Software Engineering (SE)
- Speech-Acoustic Scene Analysis and Interpretation (SHINE)
- Technologies of Vision (TeV)
- Web of Data (WeD)
