Scientific Advisory Board

Art. 5 of the Regulations of the Center for Information Technology (approved in 2009) states:

Should he/she deem it necessary, the Director of the Centre may propose the creation of an Advisory Board for the purpose of helping him/her to define the scientific programmes and to conceive innovative research projects. Nomination of the Advisory Board shall be reported to the Board of Directors. The Advisory Board is an internal consultancy organism for the Director and as such carries out functions that in no way impinge upon the competencies of the Foundation’s Scientific Committee.”

  • Prof. Malik Ghallab, Chief Executive Officer for Science and Technology (DGRTI) at INRIA (France)
  • Prof. Eduard Hovy, Director of the NLG Group at ISI and Professor of Computer Science at USC (USA)
  • Prof. Klaus Tochtermann, Director ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre Economy, Professor for Computer Science, University of Kiel (Germany)
  • Prof. Wolfgang Wahlster, Director of the German Research Center for AI, DFKI GmbH (Germany)
